From Mid-December to 26 Mai 2013 (on Tuesdays closed).<\/p>\n<p>Although this official r\u00e9sum\u00e9 does not exist in English, the exposition is in three languages; also subtitels and summaries in English and German. (My personal English translation follows after the French text)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ville-reims.fr\/fr\/culture\/actualitesculture\/en-detail\/index.html?tx_ttnews%5Btt_news%5D=11309&amp;tx_ttnews%5BbackPid%5D=3&amp;cHash=391d9d5a68db4aac5dd2a1d0c4f23fc1\" target=\"_blank\">Les Arts de l\u2019effervescence. Champagne !<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00ab Cette exposition d\u00e9di\u00e9e aux rapports entre le champagne et les arts aura une large ampleur chronologique :<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>de l\u2019apparition du vin p\u00e9tillant de Champagne, \u00e0 la fin du XVIIe si\u00e8cle jusqu\u2019au XXe si\u00e8cle.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Elle portera principalement sur la seconde moiti\u00e9 du XIXe si\u00e8cle et sur la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 du XXe si\u00e8cle, avec toutefois quelques clins d\u2019\u0153il vers l\u2019art contemporain et le design. \u2028<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Pour mettre en lumi\u00e8re la dimension mythique du champagne &#8211; un fait culturel exceptionnel &#8211; cette exposition fera appel \u00e0 des \u0153uvres de techniques diverses telles que peintures, dessins, gravures, affiches, sculptures, maquettes et dessins d\u2019architecture, objets d\u2019arts d\u00e9coratifs (verrerie, orf\u00e8vrerie, \u00e9ventails, papiers peints). Elle \u00e9voquera \u00e9galement la musique et le cin\u00e9ma. \u00bb\u2028<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Cette exposition est reconnue d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat national par le minist\u00e8re de la Culture. Elle b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie \u00e0 ce titre d\u2019un soutien financier exceptionnel de l\u2019\u00c9tat.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>English translation:<\/p>\n<p>Exhibits shown from the appearance of the sparkling wine Champagne at the end of the seventeenth century to the twentieth century.<\/p>\n<p>The focus is on the second half of the nineteenth century and the first half of the twentieth century, with some allusions to contemporary art and design.<\/p>\n<p>To highlight the mythical dimension of champagne &#8211; a cultural exception &#8211; this exhibition will appeal to a variety of works such as paintings, drawings, prints, posters, sculptures, models and architectural drawings, decorative arts (glassware, silverware, fans, wallpapers).
